ABOUT SARAH

I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe where I spent the first 18 years of my life. As soon as school was done, I left my friends and family behind, crossed over the border into South Africa and made Cape Town my new home. It was here that I met and married my partner, purchased my first home and my first DSLR camera. After spending a decade in the beautiful Cape, we decided to pack up our lives once again, and cross halfway across the globe to Perth, Australia.
I have always had a keen interest in photography but it wasn’t until after the birth of my son in 2014 that I realised the true value of preserving precious memories. I realised then that this was something I wanted to share with the world. With each shoot that I do, I find myself more and more satisfied and fulfilled with my chosen field. This is what I want to do; providing a life-long reminder of the love and beauty that this life has to offer, is what I want to do. I have undoubtedly found my passion. Telling stories through pictures and producing artistic photographs that really make you feel.
Why Arcturus Road? My childhood home was located at the end of a quiet panhandle off the busy Arcturus Road in Harare, Zimbabwe. I have so many fond memories of that home and my life in Zimbabwe that ‘Arcturus Road’ seemed a fitting name for the business that was built to create and define beautiful moments and memories in art.
I so hope to take a walk down memory lane with you. I know you’ll enjoy the scenes along the way.
Much Love, Sarah
